Tug Of War Over The Child | Private Investigations In Münster

Family court judges, in the interests of the children, endeavour to grant joint custody to separated or divorced parents. The right to determine the child’s place of residence is then generally awarded solely to the parent with whom the child usually resides. Following a separation, both parents often claim sole custody for themselves; agreement is lacking in many, many cases. As a rule, concern for the welfare of the child is naturally paramount: would the child really be well cared for with the ex-partner? Is the environment there not harmful to a child’s development? For other parents, financial motives are also or even primarily decisive – additional maintenance claims for child-rearing, which may not permit the taking up of employment or may release the caring partner from this possibility (depending on one’s point of view) and thus represent a motive for misuse.

Extensive investigations are required to establish and to prove in a court-admissible manner that your ex-partner lacks either the ability or the willingness to provide appropriate care for your child. Mere suspicion is, of course, insufficient before a family court; the description of your own impressions as a personally involved party alone cannot justify an objective decision in your favour. Our experienced Münster detectives determine by means of surveillance whether the ex-partner behaves responsibly or possibly consumes excessive alcohol or drugs, neglects the child’s education and or exposes the child to a harmful environment (new partner, friends, neighbours) and, generally speaking, fails to create a child-appropriate setting. Kurtz Detective Agency Münster and Westphalia will be pleased to undertake the review of your ex-partner. For most parents, concern for their own child comes first. Where this is not the case, our detectives gather the relevant evidence.

Dangerous Contact | Irresponsible Behaviour

Behaviour that is harmless in everyday life can certainly take on a harmful character in the presence of a child: visiting an amusement arcade or a brothel, for example, is not in itself illegal and at most morally questionable; however, in the presence of a minor it is highly concerning and irresponsible. The same may also apply to hobbies. Take shooting sports with bow, pistol or rifle as an example: in itself a normal leisure activity and sport, but if a child gains access to the weapon because it has not been properly stored and secured, there can no longer be any question of responsible conduct.

However, a lack of due care is far more common in the social interactions to which the child is exposed or which the child also maintains. With whom does the ex-partner maintain closer contact? Which third parties have contact with the child? Are they citizens of good character or rather “dubious figures”, for example from the drug, brothel or biker scene? Are there individuals in the child’s environment who have already come to the attention of the authorities for criminal activity? Has the child possibly come into contact with drugs at school and thereby slipped into a questionable circle of friends? The team at Kurtz Investigations Münster has the expertise to review the child’s contacts discreetly and to document any misconduct by the responsible parent in a manner admissible in court. Our qualified private investigators will gladly advise you in a free initial consultation, without obligation, regarding the possible investigative methods and the associated costs.
